Boxmoor Birds Wildlife Explorers Group Programme
To  April 2011
About us:
Box Moor Wildlife Explorers is the junior section of the RSPB Wildlife Explorers supported by the Box Moor Trust. It is for children between the ages of 8 and 11 years, who are interested in nature and wildlife from badgers to bumblebees, from flowers to flycatchers.
Your Group Leader is Joanna Shelton.
When and Where:
The group meets on the third Saturday of every month for two and a half hours, from 10am until 12.30pm.
Meetings are held at the Old Barn, the Box Moor Trust’s Education centre, which is a renovated cart shed situated in 70 acres of beautiful countryside on the Westbrook Haypart of the Box Moor Trust Estate. There are also trips off-site. Directions to the Old Barn are shown below.
Our Aim:
The aim of the group is to motivate and educate young people to enjoy wildlife and the countryside so that they understand the importance of preserving the natural environment for future generations.
There is a charge of £1 per family and membership is essential as there are a limited number of spaces available.
